NDR Chamber Music Concert / Leif Ove Andsnes

Chamber music has always been close to Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes’s heart. As founder and director of the Rosendal Chamber Music Festival and artistic director of the Risør Festival of Chamber Music, he has spent decades fostering a vibrant chamber music scene in his native Norway. Shortly before his performances of Johannes Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 2, this season’s Artist in Residence with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra first appears in Hamburg in the intimate setting of a chamber music concert. Together with members of the orchestra, Andsnes performs piano quintets by Luigi Boccherini and Robert Schumann.
